Art as Healing
I create paintings about stories.
Some are mine. Others are entrusted to me.
My journey as an artist began in hyperrealism, working primarily in graphite and charcoal. Over time, that practice evolved into oil and acrylic painting, allowing me to explore not only what I see, but what I feel and remember.
Today, I use realism, color, and storytelling to explore themes of memory, place, identity, and human connection. For me, painting is a way of slowing down and paying attention—to a face, a place, a moment, or a story that deserves to be remembered.
Some paintings begin with an idea that has stayed with me. Others begin with a story someone trusts me enough to share.
Either way, the process is about more than creating an image. It is about finding the emotion within a story and giving it form, color, and presence.
Because every story deserves somewhere to live.
